How do i get into comedy?
I just turned 17, i’m in college.
I love making people laugh and i know i’m a funny guy. I always think of funny stand up jokes that would really work. I’d love to get into stand up.
Just love to know how you go about this? Maybe you’re a comedian as well? Ideally, i’d like to hear from failed comedians so i can learn from your mistakes.

First off its tough to brak in…
write some jokes pages of them, work out which are the funniset and chuck 50% away… try them on friends and try to get a routine together. Once youve done that, try and find a comedy venue with an open mic night, these will roll around every so often… get some experience performing and if your set makes a good enough impression on the owner you can try pitching for a regular spot on the bill
If you find stand up isnt your thing but you keep thinking of funny stuff, try writing screen plays, short stories, novels, or plays and try getting noticed that way.
