If you are a woman than you have certainly been to, or heard of, a home party. They have home parties for cooking supplies and plastic bowls, for lingerie, make-up and home décor, for kids toys and even for adult toys. But have you ever heard of a purse party? If you don’t live in New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Texas, Alaska or Hawaii then chances are you haven’t been to or even heard of a purse party. That is because the 60 purse party consultants only live in these six states.

That just doesn’t seem fair to those of us in Ohio or Montana or Wyoming. We want to have a purse party! We know how these home parties work. You host a party and invite your friends, family and neighbors, and anybody else you can think of. Everybody gathers at your home for refreshments and a good time, but they also come with cash or credit cards ready to buy some unique product that you can’t get anywhere else but that party. As the hostess you earn free or reduced priced products, and have the opportunity to attend more parties that are scheduled by your guest.

The party consultant comes to your home and sets up a table or an area to display her products. She will then demonstrate those products and tell you what they are for and how they are used. After the demonstration she will hand out catalogs and take orders for purses, as well as payment for the orders, answer questions, and schedule people for their own purse party to be hosted in their home. At the end of the purse party, the consultant and the hostess will add up all of the sales and determine how much free or reduced price merchandise the hostess is eligible for, and that order will be placed.

A purse party consultant will typically make a profit from the sales from each party, and she will also recruit and train other purse party consultants. She will then usually make a small percentage from the sales at their purse parties as well. Purse parties are wonderful for women who love unique purses that you can’t find in the stores, and just as wonderful for the consultant who makes money offering these women a great time and the opportunity to shop for great purses.
