Your opinion on people getting a tattoo of something when…?
they dont really know what it means?
Personally, I think it is the stupidest thing. For example people who arent asian or arent associated with the culture getting chinese symbols tattooed on them, they dont even know for sure that it says what they think it does! or people who have nothing to do with theatre getting the ancient greek comedy and tragedy masks.
Do you think its ok, if they have some other meaning for it? Or do you think its a bit silly, like me?
I think that if people just get a tattoo because they like it or think its “cool” and they have no symbolism to/for it nor know what it means is a bit lame.
However, if they chose a tattoo that isn’t part of their culture, but they agree with it’s meaning or symbolism then there’s nothing wrong with it.
