comedy tragedy mask tattoos
Help me design a tattoo of the comedy/ tragedy theater masks. I want a specific uniqueness……please?
If anyone knows where to find pictures of the comedy and tragedy masks with some color for a tattoo, it would really help me out a lot. Looking to design my first and only tattoo, but have zero artistic ability. Would like to make slight changes to the most common pictures that I have found so far i.e. the comedy side should have the tear drop and the tragedy or frowning side should have the smiling eyes. Not sure but I may be looking for a mardi gras mask design. Trying to show that we all wear masks and those that know and love you will always know which you are wearing at any particular moment. Would like these 2 latin quotes one on each mask tie string – Fallaces sunt rerum species – The appearances of things are deceptive. (Seneca) and Scito te ipsum – Know yourself.
Perhaps styling them along the lines of the Venetian carnival masks. The masks are extremely ornate and beautiful works of art in of themselves. You can use the familiar shape of the masks, but use the designs and colors from the carnival masks. The basic masks are often decorated with feathers and ribbons (which would be the perfect place to add in the script).
