It’s easy to see why this is one of the bestselling sing-alongs from Disney: it plays like the ultimate family-vacation home movie. Instead of fleeting glimpses of your favorite characters on your home videos of Disneyland, this 27-minute episode showcases Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, and their friends hanging out with kids inside the Magic Kingdom singing (well, their lips don’t move) such popular songs…

Lazoom Comedy Tours – NC Weekend

Ricky Gervais Tickets | Ricky Gervais Tickets for Wembley Arena | Ricky Gervais Tickets for UK Tour | Ricky Gervais Tickets Available

British comedian Ricky Gervais announced the addition of a third night for the UK stand-up tour at Wembley Stadium due to such a huge demand. Tickets for the show went on sale Friday morning, and a spokeswoman said that nearly all of them had been bought after just 30 minutes, thus they added a third night.

Now the UK part of the tour, which will be worldwide, will be from April 26-28. Each will start at 7:30pm, and there are still some seats left, which can be booked at Yourticketmarket. Be sure to act fast, as there aren’t many tickets left!

Before the event, Ricky Gervais says he plans to give the A-listers a hard time. This includes the popular Angelina Jolie, Sir Paul McCartney, NBC (a US television network) and general Hollywood.

As mentioned above, Ricky Gervais will be taking his comedy tour to countries around the world, which will be his first time. Ricky Gervais said earlier this month that his television show The Office, which he created with Stephen Merchant, is aired in 90 countries, so he’s been promising himself that he will visit some of them. This means that Ricky Gervais will perform his stand-up at Madison Square Gardens in New York, as well as at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, but they haven’t revealed dates yet.

Ricky Gervais’s most recent television appearance in the states was on January 17 for the 67th Golden Globe Awards. Ricky Gervais hosted the event in British comedic fashion, bringing great humor (some thought so anyway). Ricky Gervais also attended the Screen Actors Guild Awards this weekend, where The Office was nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Television Comedy Series.

Ricky Gervais Newsnight Review’s panel saw Animals during its Bloomsbury run and covered it in January 2003. They were not favourable, with Private Eye editor Ian Hislop being the most explicit in his criticism. After this, Ricky Gervais closed each show by calling Hislop an “ugly little pug-faced cunt”. Further coverage on Newsnight Review has been overwhelmingly favourable, with the panelists playing themselves in promos for the second series of Extras. Panel regulars Germaine Greer, Mark Kermode, and Mark Lawson also appeared as themselves reviewing When The Whistle Blows in a series episode. Critic Mark Lawson is a great admirer of Ricky Gervais and Merchant, having interviewed them extensively for television, print Front Row, and the Edinburgh International Television Festival.

Fame was the subject of some controversy in January 2007, when Ricky Gervais told a story, ostensibly about how people will do anything to become famous, to a Scottish audience. The story referred to a question asked of Ricky Gervais five years earlier by a reporter: what could someone do to become famous like you? To which he replied, “Go out and kill a prostitute”. He followed up with the punchline, “I won’t do that bit in Ipswich”, referring to the December 2006 murders of five prostitutes in Ipswich.

The joke drew criticism from the father of one of the victims Tania Nicol: “These days, they want to make a joke out of anything. I feel he’s just being uncaring, quite honestly”. Ricky Gervais did not apologise but did defend himself: “I do want people to know that that happened five years ago and is not related to anything now. That is the problem with comedy, a joke that is funny today can be a terrible faux pas tomorrow”.
Ricky Gervais has performed stand-up in the U.S. three times—he performed two warm-up shows at the TriBeCa Performing Arts Center and headlined David Bowie’s High Line Festival in May 2007.
Ricky Gervais next show will be entitled Science, an eleven date tour commences in August 2009 at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow.
In November 2009, he will headline the sixth annual New York Comedy Festival at Carnegie Hall, New York.
