London Comedy Festivals
Although the Edinburghs famous Fringe is still undoubtably the biggest comedy festival in Britain, London is fast catching up. So, if you are in the mood for a good laugh, you might want to pay a visit to some of the following comedy marathons.
Greenwich Comedy Festival
Taking place on the banks of the River Thames, this popular comedy festival is a week long feast of fun that grows better with every year. The main event is the big top, where a number of big name comedians are performing, which is one of the best ways to your favourite comedians. The big top is surrounded by some smaller marquees and venues hosting cabaret, live music, and free comedy performances. You do not have to pay to get in to the festival itself, however the big top events do charge admission fees. At this years festival, you can see top comedians such as Phill Jupitus and Tim Minchin.
The Camden Fringe
This annual month long comedy and arts festival takes place at the same time as the Edinburgh festival, billing itself as a more daring and less expensive rival. In just a few years, it has gone from being a small scale affair to a massive behemoth of an arts festival, with a growing international following. While it cannot boast the big names that Edinburgh can attract, it more than makes up for it by being a bit braver and more eclectic. Many of comedys brightest stars got their break here, so if you want to catch the next big thing before they hit the big time, then you would do well to check out this diverse festival.
Ealing Comedy In The Park
Set in the birthplace of some of the funniest British films ever made, the Ealing Comedy In The Park festival has evolved into one of the biggest events on the comedy calendar over the past few years. This year, they could boast comedians of the calibre of Terry Alderton and Sean Lock. It is not just about the big names, however, and the festival gives you a chance to see some of the future stars of the UK comedy scene. Unlike many similar events, the tickets are quite affordable, so if you want to enjoy great comedy on a tight budget, then this could be the festival for you.

you could try Hamlet
“To or not to be, that is the question.
Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing, end them. To die, to sleep-
No more, and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache, and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to; ’tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished to die to sleep!”
