comedy duos scripts

What should I do, my ambition seems so far away?
Im 15 and female and honestley believ that I have a talent for comedy acting and writing. i never had the oppurtunity to take GCSE drama, but am goign to take A level drama.
I am a straight A student and my family all think I will become some high paid lawyer or barrister, well to be honest, my passion is for comedy and acting.
It just seems that my ambition is much larger than anyone elses, and in somewhat of a dream world and is too good to be true. I need to find the perfect comedy partner as most of my scripts i have written are comedy duo sketches. This all seems so hard, I thought I;d done the hard part by writing it, but now Im having doubts to wether this could actually work. How do I get my work noticed? I am not old enough to do stand up at open mic nights, thanks for any advice
xx
First and foremost, be clear in your head…COMEDY IS WHAT YOU WANT TO DO.
Say that!
Now for how you’re going to achieve that ambition. Get in touch with some theatre companies and audition at places..work it out like you’d work at any other profession. Comedy writing is a great job. ![]()
And it takes a lot of guts to say that you want to do it. Just keep up with that confidence. Goodluck with it.
