What are comedy clubs looking for when they book a comedian?
I’ll graduate in 11/07 with a MBA in Entertainment Management and I’m trying to get an internship as a Booking Agent or a Acting Agent before then so I’ll have some experience. I have five more weeks before my first core class in Entertainment Management!
Funny, Original.. someone who doesn’t “remind me of….” (someone else’s clone).. can they think on their feet? Do they only follow a script, or can they change things up of there is a heckler, or something else that draws their attention.
I love comedians who somehow have their jokes flow.. whether it is a set that ends up back at the beginning, or a set that has the same kind of feel or feeling about it. Sometimes going “all over the place” with different categories is good, but you have to be very good to pull that off. (Steven Wright)
